Nilgün Suphi has worked in the Institutional Development and International Academic Affairs Office since September 2016 establishing and supporting faculties establish international academic agreements with universities and institutions all over the world, creating MOU, student exchange, faculty exchange, research, short term visit, study abroad, joint conference, joint degree and dual degree agreement templates, setting up a database for live and passed agreements, accreditations and memberships, as well as collecting data for Times Higher Education rankings and being responsible for collecting and inputting data for QS Stars and the different categories of QS rankings. She was also one of the main team players in the preparation of the report enabling EMU to be a signatory of Magna Charta Universitatum and member of IAU. Amongst other responsibilities she has prepared several tenders for hosting both the EUA and EUA-CDE annual meetings and was part of the team organizing the Community of Mediterranean Universities Annual Council Meeting in 2019.
She is also the Chair/Program Coordinator of Warwick Manufacturing Group based on the International Academic Collaboration agreement between Warwick University and Eastern Mediterranean University. (https://warwick.emu.edu.tr/en)
Nilgün Suphi, who has a BA(Hons) and MBA in Business Management, CELTA and Ph.D. in Educational Sciences is also a lecturer in the School of Computing and Technology and has been there since 1999, teaching courses in office management, business, computing and education. Her prior work experience includes working as head of HR in the European University of Lefke, Executive Secretary of the Faisal Islamic Bank and a private company in North Cyprus as well as a professional secretary in Roehampton Hospital, Otis Lifts and Escalators and MIG Generators Company in the UK where international correspondence and administration was one of her main duties.
