Institutional Development and International Academic Affairs Office (IDIAAO) was founded on November 18th, 2014 by the decision of the Eastern Mediterranean University Executive Board. IDIAAO aims to gather Eastern Mediterranean University's international academic activities, such as cooperation with overseas universities, exchange programs, membership in international organizations, accreditations, and participation in world university rankings under one roof and to maximize the benefits of international collaborations.
IDIAAO has been committed to the enhancement of the academic quality and visibility of the Eastern Mediterranean University through internationally known rankings such as Times Higher Education, QS, US News, Shanghai Ranking, URAP, UniRank, Webometrics: Ranking Web of Universities, Eduniversal, Nature Index, RUR, CWTS: Leiden Ranking, EduRank, etc., through memberships or signatories such as IAU, Magna Charta Universitatum, etc., by gathering and inputting pertinent data and preparing the required detailed reports, as well as through developing connections with and establishing academic agreements such as memorandum of understanding, dual degree, joint degree, student exchange, study abroad, faculty exchange, faculty short term visit, joint conference and research agreements with international academic and professional institutions.
