Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) hosted an important academic meeting. Boğaziçi University Confucius Institute Representative Nurdan Çağatay Görgülü and, Shanghai University Türkiye Representative and visiting academic staff member at Boğaziçi University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Qianwen paid an official visit to EMU.
Within the scope of their visit program, the delegation visited EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Kılıç. During the meeting, intentions were shared to conduct the Chinese Language and Literature courses currently offered under the Confucius Institute initiative—implemented through the partnership of Shanghai University and Boğaziçi University—via a center planned to be established EMU. The discussions also covered the development of academic programs at EMU in the field of Chinese culinary arts within gastronomy, as well as in Business Administration and Energy Economics, and the creation of a collaborative academic framework in these disciplines. Furthermore, the parties conveyed their shared intention to formalize the cooperation through a protocol to be signed in the near future and to implement student and academic staff exchange programs.

Prof. Dr. Vedat Yorucu, the Head of Department of Economy at EMU Faculty of Business and Economics; and Murat Aktuğralı, Rectorate Promotion and Marketing Director also attended the meeting, presenting detailed information regarding EMU.
The delegation also paid a visit to EMU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Osman M. Karatepe. During the meeting, evaluations were carried out regarding the expansion of potential academic collaborations both at the faculty level and across the university as a whole.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of gifts and a photo shoot.
