EMU Initiates New Collaborations with Educational Counsellors at Azerbaijan During The Event Held in Bakü

The extensive promotional event organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in Baku attracted great interest. Attended over 100 educational counsellors, the event provided comprehensive information on the academic programs of EMU, scholarship opportunities and student life at the university. EMU Rector’s Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik and EMU Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Business Administration academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Öney represented EMU during the said event.

Scholarship Opportunities of EMU Captured Interest

The promotional event highlighted EMU’s attractive scholarship opportunities, which captured significant interest from attendees. Detailed presentations were also given on dual-degree undergraduate programs, including the Medicine Program in partnership with Marmara University and the Dentistry Program conducted with the University of Health Sciences. Furthermore, participants were thoroughly informed about student life on EMU campus, covering housing facilities and the dynamic social environment.

 

“Sole State University Holding International Accreditations”

In his address, EMU Rector’s Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik said, “EMU, the sole state university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus which holds international accreditations, continue strengthening its strategic collaboration with Azerbaijan. This initiative is not aimed at increasing student numbers, it is also a significant step in sharing joint cultural values”.

 

Also delivering a speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Önet stated, “Our goal is to further strengthen EMU’s presence in the region by upholding international standards in education. We believe that, through the informed guidance of education consultants in Azerbaijan, more young people will be directed toward our university”.

In his remarks regarding the event held in Azerbaijan, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç noted that such events enhance the internationalization strategy of the university and added, “Events like these serve as important platforms for expanding our university’s global reach and deepening cultural ties. Our close partnerships with education consultants in Azerbaijan are instrumental in showcasing EMU’s academic opportunities to a wider audience and encouraging students in the region to consider studying with us. This initiative contributes to strengthening EMU’s influence on the international stage and further boosts our global visibility”.
